The 5 Year Gamble
5 years have passed since the discovery of Anakin. Vader's Jedi Academy was rebuilt within a year of Anakin's finding. Anakin is now 10 years old and soon to become 11 and earn the title of Jedi Knight. Meanwhile in Vader's chamber on the campus...
Vader: Jedi Padawans, you have the top records in this fine school. Anakin, the council has decided that you are ready for the trials to become a Jedi Knight. If that is what you wish, do you accept?
Anakin: I do Master Vader.
Vader: Very good....Anakin, Padawans, you will be assigned with Master Xorg to investigate the Planet Flindabala. We have recently lost all communication with them and the last transmission we have heard from them was too garbled up with static and we were unable to understand what they were saying. We believe there is some sort of transmission jamming going on. All 10 of you will be going assisted by a small squadron of stormtroopers. You disembark in 1 day on platform 045-J. Please use this time to prepare and make yourselves ready. May the Force be with you ::The students leave the room talking to one another as Anakin and his friend Flan go to the training hall to train.::
Flan: So Anakin, what do you think of this mission? Pretty intense eh?
Anakin: Yes very. What do you think it is?
Flan: Eh, probably just a down transmitter. Lately all the missions have been boring! I mean the last bit of action was small riots of on Mongolia VII. But that was like 3 years ago!
Anakin: Why do you want so much battle and destruction? I mean wars are started by that...
Flan: I know, and a Jedi doesn't crave excitement or adventure, but I guess I want to help out a lot more than simply sitting there during a conference. I just want to feel like I helped out in something major.
Anakin: Hmm....well Flan even the little things can help out majorly, force is never required to stop something.
Flan: Then what about the attacks and techniques we learn? If there is no war, no reason for battle, then why learn the techniques?
Anakin: To be ready to defend in all types of situations
Flan: AhWell, lets train. ::He activates his white bladed saber::
Anakin: Lets....::He activates his aqua blue lightsaber and readies his stance, the two begin parrying and blocking and thrusting at each other, soon a saber training droid enters and attacks Anakin with two lightsabers. Anakin soon is fighting both lightsabers from the droid and his friends saber all with one saber::
In the viewing chamber with Vader, Luke, and Yoda
Luke: Anakin is growing quite fast in the force. His lightsaber skills are rather advanced.
Vader: I've never trained him to try defense against two opponents with two lightsabers in their hands and he only one. He learned that on his own.
Yoda: The force watches over him, it does
Vader: Yes I still can't believe he programmed 4 attack droids with lightsabers, two lightsabers, and 3 destroyer droids and he destroyed them all without a scratch or anything.
Luke: Maybe he had them on a low level?
Vader: No, Level 15....::Luke and Yoda become surprised:: I know, its amazing...his knowledge is also amazing....in all his classes, he is well beyond college level, but when he talks to his friends and colleagues, his conversations change...he'll talk like that of his age, he'll talk like an elderly man would...He is ready to become a Jedi Knight...
Luke: Are you sure he is ready? He will only become 11 within the week.
Vader: True, but he has shown wisdom and strength like that of a Jedi Knight that has been training for 15 years. Master Luke, what do you think of the situation on Flindabala?
Luke: I'm not sure to be honestI'm not seeing anything with the force.its as if the force itself died on that planet
Vader: Yes...it does appear as a blank spot in the force...I am concerned for the safety of the students going there...
Luke: They will be safe, Master Xorg is going isn't he? I served with him on the Mongolia Riot control mission. They are in good hands.
Vader: Yes...I suppose....Oh hey look at this! :: they look down to see Anakin fighting the two combatants::
Anakin runs along the wall and soon force pushes the droid down to the ground and jumps and lands on the droid stabbing it through the head he pulls out quickly and blocks Flan's attack. The two saber's are locked together and both are seen huffing and puffing and sweating as they have gone through a vigorous training exercise.
Vader over loud speaker: Very good. Anakin, Flan, take the rest of the day off, you both deserve it. Anakin, come see me when you wish and we'll head home.
Anakin: OkHey Flan, I'll talk to you later broHang ten and I'll see you tomorrow..
Flan: Will do....::they do a quick handshake gesture and leave::
Vader: Well, I'll be leaving. Yoda, Luke, May the Force be with you...
Luke, and Yoda: May the Force be with you....::they all leave and Vader meets up with Anakin by his speeder::
Anakin: What took you so long?
Vader: Didn't feel like telaporting....
Anakin: Ah....Any tips for this mission dad?
Vader: Well, Flindabala is a planet very much like earth. It has some of the top research facilities that can be found. So be ready for mid spring temperatures.
Anakin: Hmmm....I've got a bad feeling bout this mission....How come you and Luke aren't going?
Vader: Luke wants to go but I told him that I need him to give my school the lesson on resisting the dark side. This mission will be your first won't it?
Anakin: Yes...I'm scared....but I know what I must do....
Vader: Anakin, I know you have your own lightsaber but I want to give you the lightsaber your mother gave me when we got married...::they arrive at the house and Vader says that as they enter the house and pulls the lightsaber out of the glass case and gives it to Anakin::
Anakin: Dad, this is a great gift, but it was yours and moms::he tries giving it back but Vader pushes it back to him::
Vader: Keep it, its what your mother would have wanted::Vader reaches out and hugs Anakin:: Anakin, take care...The Force will be with you...
Anakin: Thanks dad...
Vader: Go on, get your pack ready...::Anakin goes to his room to gather his belongings for the trip, but soon the phone rings and Vader answers:: Hello Shadow, what can I do for you?
DarkMigit: Dude I hate it when you do that...
Vader: Sorry...anyway whats up?
DarkMigit: I've come to inform you I am going on a quest....I will be on a hunt for that which cannot be explained....I am unsure of how long it will take me but it is no mere follow the map quest....
Vader: I understand, Take Care Shadow, and May the force and chaos be with you on your quest...::Shadow acknowledges and hangs up:: I wonder what you are searching for this time....and why...
