This was my dad's 1969 Chevrolet Impala. It is a lowrider, and unfortunately this is one of the few pictures of it with rims. My dad customized the front end by installing a set of 1976 Chevrolet Caprice Headlights on it then he also completed the grille going around it. He also got custom plates that said LORIDIR on them, pronounced Lowrider. The car had a big block 396 Chevy Engine. He also got fenderskirts for it which he installed and then he also got the fender skirts extended. The car didn't have any hydraulics and it was before bags became availble to put onto a car. He also installed a chrome 10 inch chain steering wheel. Now even though the car didn't have hydraulics he still had it lowered. No he didn't get the springs cut instead he clamped the coils down with a j-bolt. The car sadly is no longer in my dads posession, and sadly the plate went with it....
